Nursery

Nursery children posses an ever expanding set of language and social skills as they begin to settle down to the idea of being on their own. Our nursery curriculum aims to fulfil their quest for knowledge and enables them to have a better understanding of world around them. Play Group students, who have been with Daffodils Preschool have become familiar with the teachers and supporting staff and total day to day activities of the school. New admissions are taken care of, and made familiar with the school’s atmosphere. As usual Kids are unpredictable, some may enjoy, others may protest, take time to adjust.

In nursery, writing skills will be imparted and developed. Emphasise will be given on academic excellence including extra-curricular activities. Home assignments are given keeping in mind that parents’ involvement is equally important. Parents should know the happenings in the school. Hence parent-child rapport has to be developed at this stage.

Various activities are used to introduce the concept of taking turns and sharing toys and games and to reinforce math and language learning. Art materials such as clay, crayons, markers, paints and collage materials are a creative favorite with most children in this age group and these skills help in developing the gross motor skills and the child. Music sessions and rhyme time encourage children to develop auditory and language skills
